RATES & RESERVATIONS
We require each participant to register and submit a deposit to reserve a day or event. For participants under the age of 18, a parent or court appointed legal guardian needs to complete their registration. Online reservations require a credit card, we can also accept cash or check with reservation arrangements made over the phone. All reservations are subject to our Cancellation Policy.
Our waivers expire after each New Year, so if you are climbing again during a new year, you will need to complete new paperwork.
Rates are subject to change anytime, prior bookings are not exempt.
Private Guiding and Instruction
Our rates include:
Guide or guides based on a 4 : 1* ratio for climbing, 10 : 1 for hiking/snowshoeing
Loan of the basic technical climbing equipment
Daily park passes as required
All rates are based per person
You need to bring:
Lunch and snacks
Water, 2L recommended for full days
Adequate clothing suitable for the time of year, layers are best.

Rates do not include transportation, meals, accommodations or gratuities - unless specifically stated.
* We typically operate on a 4:1 ratio for climbing however for non-profits or special locations we can operate up to a 6:1 ratio. All parties will have their own private guide or guides. We will not pair you up with unknown guests unless it is an openly scheduled event, or you request it and it is acceptable by all participants.
Rates for Rock Climbing in NY
Rates below are for rock, ice, and alpine climbing throughout the northeast, for all ages - with the exception of Sky Top/Mohonk Mountain House
A full day of climbing - lasts from approximately 9am to 4pm
Half days (rock climbing only) - run from approximately 9am to 12:30pm, or 1:30pm to 5pm
Mountain/Marathon days range beyond 8 hours
Ice Climbing rates are an additional $20 for all rock rates for parties of 1-5.
For party sizes requiring just one guide*.
* Rates for guiding at Roger's Rock and other similar areas requiring boat access are different and available on the activity specific page.

Special Rate Options
Introduce a Child to Climbing!
Any adult who is scheduled to climb can bring a child (up to 12 years old) with them for only $40 per child.
Limited to single pitch rock climbing only for a party size of no more than 2 adults and 2 kids
Program does not apply to group programs. For parties of more than 4, regular rates apply.
This program is limited to the Peter's Kill Climbing Area only and is not permitted at Sky Top/Mohonk Mountain House, Mohonk Preserve, or any other northeast area

Frequent Climber Card
If you are planning on coming out for a few days for skill instruction or guiding, take advantage of discounted rates with our Frequent Climber Card. You'll not only learn the skills you need, but also have a yearly climbing membership for the Mohonk Preserve for more return trips that year.
Gift Certificates
If you are looking for a special gift, we also offer Gift Certificates in any denomination or trip length so you can give the gift of climbing.
Our cancellation policy requires notification at least 7 days prior to your day for rescheduling or more than 14 days prior to your day for a refund. Please view our CANCELLATION POLICY in detail.
Travel Insurance
For all our programs, especially multi-day trips, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. There are probably many options you can research, one we have used and had clients use in the past is AIG Travelguard. A full day - lasts from approximately 9am to 4pm

Hiking, Snowshoeing - includes loan of snowshoes and trekking poles
